Blutech’s NeVerLoSs wireless instrument system was selected as one of the top 30 in the 2022 Green Technology Startup Competition and successfully advanced to the finals.

Blutech, a leading company in industrial IoT, participated in the 2022 Green Technology Startup Award Competition organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, along with Linkou Startup Park and Asia Silicon Valley Startup Park. Bosch Smart successfully advanced to the finals after winning the semifinals.

The 2022 Green Technology Startup Award Competition aims to build a robust innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, connect global technology hubs, and introduce international resources and innovation. It encourages both domestic and international entrepreneurship investment. Additionally, to balance regional development between the north and south of Taiwan, the two major international entrepreneurial hubs—Linkou Startup Park and Asia Silicon Valley Startup Park—focus on net-zero carbon emissions and green technology, fostering collaboration between green startups and enterprises.

The highlight of this competition is that, to ensure the products and technologies of the startup teams can be implemented, the organizers invited 17 major companies, including TSMC, ASE Group, Taipower, AUO, and Delta Electronics, to provide challenges based on their carbon reduction and green energy needs. Startup teams were asked to propose solutions, progressing from concept to PoC and eventually to actual deployment after the finals. This approach helps bring products to life and meets the real needs of the challenging companies.

The challenge Blutech participated in was provided by ASE Group, which sought a solution for “smart regulation of regional power grids using IoT technology.” ASE’s reason for this challenge was that its old plant in Kaohsiung, established earlier, lacked the infrastructure for wiring and Wi-Fi AP deployment. Therefore, a long-range wireless transmission solution was needed to send electrical data within the plant for management and analysis. Blutech’s patented NeVerLoSs® LoRa and WSDMS technology perfectly met ASE’s needs. The solution was well-received by the challenging company and the judges, confirming its feasibility and securing Blutech’s place in the finals. ASE Group and Blutech will now initiate a PoC deployment plan and will soon present the results, with the goal of winning in the finals.
